Your training has been well designed, using the technique of "andragogy," more simply known as the word used for training adults. Andragogy in its purest form means discipline, and while the content is essential, the methods used are critical to the program's success. You will know what to do in every situation. Over 30 years of professional training, knowledge and skill will guide you through a world-class orientation and training workshop. The "typical boat-sales training class" will use the techniques of one broker, usually the owner. WME combines the successful techniques of over 50 Yacht Brokers, 30 from the areas of real estate, financial brokers and executive search professionals. Outside resources which are integrated into the training are, Ben Gay III & "The Closers I and II, Butler Learning Systems", Ken Blanchard and Stephen Covey.
You will be part of a tested and systematic business approach to recruiting, selection, training, support, personal growth, and execution. Captain Bernard (Berny) Coffey was the first to research and successfully develop the skills of "elegant" brokering, and then over time incorporated them into the WME approach. Before becoming successful Yacht Broker, Capt. Coffey was a performance coach for conglomerates such as Philip Morris, Miller Brewing Co., Bethlehem Steel Corp, Norrell Services, Fusion Staffing & ERM, in addition to several other national and international corporations.

However, not everyone will be selected. WME has a rigorous selection process which assures our selected candidates that you too can be a successful broker. Training and Orientation makes the Difference In a recent business start-up and orientation, six yacht brokers and one master yacht broker were trained in under a week. Thus, WME opened six new sales offices, and one WME Master Office. We believe the training you will receive is the best in the business! However, results from training can only be measured by the successyou achieve. Over the 4-5 day period there were 33 potential sales made. This equates to 33 people saying "yes" to contracting these brokers to "manage the sale of their asset" (boat). This is the result of a well selected team, of self-motivated, business professionals.
Now for the real test!
In less than one week after training and orientation of this team, over $1,000,000 of boats were placed into the world-wide marketing network of WME. And now, these same brokers, are selling these same boats, at the same time you are reading this paragraph!
WME stands for "World Maritime Exchange." However, within our team and the world, we will work ethically and professionally so that "WME" will also take on a new meaning. We were told recently, we should also use WME to stand for

"Excellence in everything we do" should be our daily motto. Our selection of new brokers is excellent, making them the "best of the best." We use state-of-the-art preparation tools, along with personal styles and skills assessment to measure the strengths of each candidate. We then assist to build your individual business models around those strengths. Although it makes perfect sense, WME is the only yacht brokerage using this practice. Have your strengths identified and then build your new position around those strengths. While most companies build the position first, then hire into it, at best this is a "hit and miss" scenario all the way. Our brokers get complete training, where we also incorporate the proven teachings of Ben Gay III and The Closers part 1 and 2, Ken Blanchard and Steven Covey, to ensure business success. Third party software for researching individual boats, marketing analysis and position analysis all provide the best foundation for success.
